The borough has a total area of 1.9 square miles, averaging a population density of 2,790 per square mile. The racial demographics of Selinsgrove was 94.67% White, 2.73% African American, 0.07% Native American, 0.91% Asian, 0.87% from other races, and 0.74% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.92% of the population. Selinsgrove is home to over 1,750 households.
